The inaugural MapleWeird Community 5K & Fun Run is running on October 25, 2026, bringing a community race back after many years away!

With a 5K race and a half-mile Fun Run, there's something for everyone, whether you're a serious runner or just in it for the fun. Costumes are encouraged for all races with prizes for best kid’s costume and best group costume in the Fun Run.

The celebration continues after the races with live music and a Trunk-or-Treat at Schlafly Bottleworks during their monthly Sundaze event. Gather your family and friends and help us kick off a new Maplewood tradition!

5k Run/Walk - 9:30 am

The 5k is a timed course around beautiful Maplewood. You’ll run through parks and past local businesses and cheering crowds. The loop course contains some hills and starts and ends at Schlafly Bottleworks. Costumes are encouraged! 5k participants are welcome to also register for the half mile Fun Run.

Fun Run - 10:30 am

This half-mile course is fun for the whole family. Costumes are encouraged and we’ll award a prize for best kid’s costume and best group costume. Every adult registered for the Fun Run will be given a Schlafly drink, and each kid will be given a race medal.

After Party - 11:00 am

Stay to enjoy the fun & fall with our community! The celebration continues at Schlafly with live music,  Trunk-or-Treating, local artisans and vendors, and of course great food and drinks. We'll award our costume contest winners and celebrate being MapleWeird.
